Madame Tussauds Wax Museum

Updated: Nov 18, 2018

We've heard so much about Madame Tussaud Museum and it was our must see place, when we were planing our trip to Bangkok, as neither of us visited it before. It is a perfect place to appreciate a craftsmanship and talent of those who is involved and loads and loads of photos to take - what a perfect opportunity :)

If you don't know anything about #MadameTussaud, here are few common known facts about her: Madame Tussaud (birth name Marie Grosholtz ) was born in 1761 in Strasbourg, France.

Her mother worked as a housekeeper for Dr. Philippe Curtius in Bern, Switzerland, who was a physician skilled in wax modelling. Curtius taught Tussaud the art of wax modelling.

She inherited the doctor's vast collection of wax models following his death in 1794, and spent the next 33 years travelling around Europe. She married Francois Tussaud in 1795, and the show acquired a new name: Madame Tussaud's.

Wasn't she talented! I've done sculpture in Uni, but I was far less talented than her hehe.

Im better with camera in my hands, so see for yourself how amazingly alike the characters to real people are (me & Arash are real, though we could easily pretend to be wax characters :)

Just a casual coffee catch up with George Clooney :)

I'm sure you easily recognised who is who :)

And the creme de la creme at the end of the Museum is your opportunity to make a #wax #sculpture of your hands. The only downside we didn't think about is by the time you'll get on the plane at the end of your trip, the hands will become a weird piece of wax, as #Thailand heat is #melting #everything and #everyone... I still brought it home to New Zealand, but eventually had to throw the whole thing away :(

Yep, thats right! 60 degrees hot wax - thats where you'll put your hands in, but not before

they'll become num after you held it in a super #freezing #water first.

#JimKerry was probably thinking:"Enjoy while its still has a shape of your hands" lol

Overall its #awesome #experience guys! And I'll still make wax hands - just to try and bring it home again :)

Thats where you can buy tickets online to The #Museum:

Enjoy your experience guys!
