KariKari Peninsula Road Trip

Karikari Estate is New Zealand’s Northern-most winery and vineyard

Long-long drive to far-far away beach. Roads, trees, roads, trees, and suddenly in the middle of nowhere THIS!

We felt like we just saw mirage in the middle of the desert - Karikari Estate. The place is enormous, located on both sides of the road. One side covered with vinery and gorgeous restaurant, on the other side of the road is golf course and hotel.

We had to drive in and see this amazing location. The restaurant is on the hill high enough to have the sea view. Every meter is taken care of, stunning location for any celebration (a bit far away though, but if everyone will stay in a hotel across the road- what a holiday it can be!) New Zealand is still full of surprises even if you just going camping.

The downside of this place and is you'll love it so much, you wouldn't want to leave it.

We stayed in a freedom camping site at Matai Bay over night (as it was our motorhome road trip), and we came back here the next day for lunch, beautiful oysters and a coffee.

We spent three hours there and unfortunately had to drive to our next location.

Must see place in New Zealand if you travelling through North Island or you live in New Zealand and just want to visit a new stunning location.
